Save the date!

SPARK is a one-night exhibition & silent auction of 30 posters from local artists, designers, and students celebrating the New Energy of Norfolk.

The exhibition takes place during the NEON Festival on Friday, September 16 from 6-9pm. The exhibition will take place outdoors along Magazine Lane, right across the street from the Glass Wheel Studio and Work | Release – both of which we encourage you to check out the night of the exhibition!

During the exhibition, a commemorative poster screenprinted by Prince Ink will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the commemorative poster will benefit the Downtown Norfolk Council, continuing to support local creativity.

People’s Choice Award

The night of the exhibition, the recipients of the $250 Best in Show Award and the $200 Emerging Designers Award will be announced.

We will also be awarding the $250 People’s Choice Award to the designer whose poster receives the most votes! Come out & vote for the poster you think best represents our district.

Silent Auction

Each of the exhibited 18” x 24” posters will be available for auction the night of the exhibition. Bids begin at $10 for each poster and will be raised in $5 increments. Winners of each poster will be contacted upon the exhibition’s close.

Proceeds from the silent auction benefit AIGA Hampton Roads to support design & arts programming for the upcoming year.

Why?

This exhibition is a celebration of the creativity our community has to offer, bringing to light NEON’s wide range of artists & designers and our own community’s excitement for the district. It’s our hope that this collaboration will inspire future partnerships between among our creative community.
