A time to mingle with other Hampton Roads designers

AIGA Hampton Roads proudly presents our summer meetup series, Creatives in the Park! Bring your favorite chair or blanket and picnic with us at Red Wing Park in Virginia Beach.

Details:

Saturday July 8 | August 5 | Sept 2
4:00-6:00PM

Red Wing Park
1398 General Booth Blvd
Virginia Beach, VA 23454

Free and open to the public. Red Wing Park features a dog park, basketball and tennis courts, and a playground. Please follow guidelines set by the City of Virginia Beach on what is allowed at the park.

Parking is available near the front entrance, or on the right-hand side near the maintenance building. We will gather on the lawn behind the basketball courts.

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran in the creative community or a recent graduate, this is the place to connect with Hampton Roads designers, developers, photographers, makers and more.

About Red Wing Park

The Red Wing Park property was acquired by the county in 1879 and was formerly known as the “Old City Poor Farm.” It was developed into a park by the City in 1966 and is now home to many gardens, including the Reba S. McClanan Fragrance Garden, established through the joint efforts of Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation and the Council of Garden Clubs of Virginia Beach, and the Miyazaki Japanese Garden.

AIGA is an entirely volunteer-run non-profit organization. If you’re interested in being on the Board of Directors, please apply using this form. If you are interested in volunteering, please check out our Become a Volunteer page.
