The AIGA Hampton Roads chapter is pleased to announce the establishment of a cash prize to be awarded annually to a local design student.

Applicants at any academic school year level may apply, from freshmen to rising Seniors. The recipient will be selected by a 3-person jury of chapter members: one from the chapter board of directors, and the other two selected from qualified chapter member volunteers. Awardees will be selected through an evaluation of submitted short essays or presentations (e.g. video, Pecha Kucha) on a student’s inspirational contemporary or historical design figure, work, or topic. Applicants may also articulate their need or benefit of the prize in their presentation/essay.
