Nikki will cover all of the basics, including what is human centered design? What are the benefits of using it? We’ll talk about the phases - research & discover, synthesize & generate solutions, conceptualize & prototype, test & iterate, implement & refine. We’ll discuss who is involved in HCD, the business and user benefits of HCD, and how we can use it to improve the projects we’re working on. We’ll also discuss what kind of projects are appropriate for HCD.
This workshop is interactive, so be prepared to get involved and participate. By starting with a warm up, we’ll quickly focus your understanding of how HCD can be applied in your work, right away. Later in the workshop, we’ll jump into breakout rooms and practice HCD while getting to know the partner you’ve been paired with.
